Blackcloud is a cryptocurrency mining venture. Our infrastructure does the computing that validates transactions on various blockchain networks such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. Each time we validate a transaction, we earn a reward paid in cryptocurrency. After the payment of operating expenses, Blackcloud distributes these cryptocoins to allow shareholders to share in the profits and gain direct exposure to cryptocurrency as an asset.
Ryan is the President and CEO of Blackcloud. He received a Bachelor's degree and a Master’s degree in geography from the University of Lethbridge. In 2000 he started a small geomatics company in Lethbridge that, through his leadership, grew to the third largest imaging company in the world—BlackBridge Geomatics. Ryan’s commitment to Lethbridge has continued through his ownership of Blackcloud, founded in 2009. He was the founding president of the University of Lethbridge Graduate Students Association and in 2005 was inducted into the U of L “Alumni Honour Society”. In 2005 Ryan was recognized by Alberta Venture Magazine as one of 13 leaders of the next generation and again in 2012 as one of Alberta’s 50 Most Influential people.
Godard is the Chief Operating Officer of Blackcloud and oversees all aspects of the core products, including sales, marketing, technology and operations functions. He received his Ph.D, Master’s and Bachelor's degrees in Aerospace Engineering from Ryerson University, Toronto. He has over 10 years of leadership and strategy execution experience specializing in program management and M&A execution. Prior to joining Blackcloud, Godard served as the Vice President, PMO for the BlackBridge group of companies for 4 years. He was responsible for managing BlackBridge’s project portfolio and future space systems program.
Erad Fridman is veteran Product Manager with 15+ years of technology experience. Prior to Blackcloud, Erad managed a team of 20 Product Managers at Google and was the Vice President of Product at Planet, a satellite data company. Erad began programming when he was 6 years old, and by the age of 19, had earned both his Computer Science and Mathematics degrees and led a software engineering team in the Israeli Prime Minister’s office. Mathematician, engineer, product designer, manager, Bitcoin and Ethereum miner — at Blackcloud, Erad wears many hats.
Maggie Deng is the Chief Communication Officer of Mailtime / Measurable Data Token (MDT) and led the launch raising 44,000 ETH in 5 days. Maggie is also an advisor at blockchainhub, an incubator for blockchain startups in Canada. Prior to MDT, Maggie worked as chief editor in blockchain at JPM.cn, the top Fintech press in China, and project lead in Amgen & Novartis. Maggie has also advised various startups and blockchain projects and has personally invested in cryptocurrencies since 2014.
Wilson is a corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions lawyer with experience advising a wide variety of businesses including fintech and technology, oil and gas, agriculture, and retail and consumer. Wilson’s experience covers a wide range of matters both domestically and internationally, including private and public offerings in Canada and the United States, recapitalizations, asset and share transactions, stock exchange listings, corporate creation and organization and corporate governance matters. Wilson regularly advises start-up and evolving companies on corporate and commercial matters across all stages of their growth and maturity including navigating the uncertainties of a developing business in a rapidly changing industry.
